We are ambassadors for the Messiah...
Based on some things I have been watching, listening too, and reading… I was wondering about co-working. What does it mean to be a co-worker for Adonai? It brought me to this verse which is actually a little more in-depth, but still thought provoking.
2 Corinthians 5:20
Therefore we are ambassadors of the Messiah; in effect, God is making his appeal through us. What we do is appeal on behalf of the Messiah, “Be reconciled to God! (CJB)
What is an ambassador? It is a person who represents a nation. When we are told that we are ambassadors for the Messiah, it means that we totally and completely represent Him. We are supposed to make HIS appeal to those we come in contact with.
How are we doing this? Is it something we have lost? Are we truly being His ambassador and causing those around us to KNOW Him? What message are we sharing with those we meet?
According to this verse we should tell others to, “Be reconciled to God!” And with an exclamation point, that means we should be enthusiastic about it. Are we sharing a message of reconciliation? Are we telling others the true message of the Gospel? Are we representing HIS Kingdom in the way HE wants us too?
I realize there are a lot of questions today. It is something I am pondering. I am wondering if we have missed telling what the Gospel message really is about.
Today I am asking myself if I am being the ambassador HE has asked me to be. Maybe we all need to stop and think about how we present Him to others.
Love and blessings,
Rose
