Rejoice in your HOPE...

I love when I find verses that are easy to remember where they are found. Like 33:3 or 10:10. Today when I was looking up verses about patience, this one came up:

Romans 12:12

Rejoice in your hope, be patient in your troubles, and continue steadfastly in prayer. (CJB)

Three things we NEED to do are found in this verse.

1) REJOICE in your HOPE.

2) Be PATIENT in your troubles.

3) Continue STEADFASTLY in PRAYER.

Yesterday we focused on hope and how to find it - because we are born again we have HOPE.

Today we learn we need to REJOICE in that hope. Give THANKS because you have been born again.

Troubles come. Being patient in them is not easy. Yet that is what we are asked to do several times in the Word. PATIENT. Just walk it out.

Last, and in many ways the most important, CONTINUE steadfastly in PRAYER.

If you notice, the first time I capitalized the word “steadfastly.” This time I capitalized “continue.” We NEED to do both of them. We should not just “continue.” We should also be steadfast. "Steady as she goes” is probably a good thing in life.

PRAYER is key. Always be in prayer. I’m learning more and more how to do this each day. As I cook, clean, hang up laundry… PRAY. It is not easy. Some days I do it better than others.

THIS is your HOPE to REJOICE in today. HE is with you. WALK in that strength and knowledge.

Love and blessings,

Rose
