May God, the SOURCE of HOPE...
Hope… Sometimes we just don’t know what it is or how to get it.
Romans 15:13
May God, the source of hope, fill you completely with joy and shalom as you continue trusting, so that by the power of the Ruach HaKodesh you may overflow with hope. (CJB)
My husband and I were talking with a friend the other day and he said, “I have faith that something good will happen in this situation, but I do not have hope.”
That statement made me realize that there is kind of a difference. I had never thought about it before.
I have FAITH that God is going to work “all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.” I have FAITH that God is WHO He says He is; loving, full of grace and mercy, all knowing etc…
HOPE, however, can be difficult at times. To HOPE that a situation will turn out “positively” is not always easy.
But maybe sometimes what we THINK is a positive outcome, isn’t really HIS plan, so we have to somehow continue to have HOPE in Him. And when we do, then we can overflow with JOY, PEACE and experience HIS power.
GOD is our source of HOPE. HE alone can FILL us with JOY and PEACE.
Our job is to CONTINUE TRUSTING! When we TRUST, the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT is what helps us overflow with HOPE. When we OVERFLOW, then our lights shine and we share HIM with those around us.
A big task???? Yes. Easy to achieve??? No.
KEEP Trusting… stay in the POWER of the Holy Spirit. And then let HIS hope OVERFLOW!
