Look, I am Adonai...
As we have been reading through our Torah portions, as well as the prophets, today we read from Jeremiah. I looked to see if I had used this verse before and found something interesting…
Jeremiah 32:27
“Look, I am Adonai, the God of every living creature; is there anything too hard for me? (CJB)
In chapter 32 verse 17 says this,
“Adonai, God! You made heaven and earth by your great power and outstretched arm; nothing is too hard for you. (CJB)
This is what the Prophet Jeremiah said to God.
10 verses later God says it back to Jeremiah. As the Creator of the universe, Adonai can clearly be in charge and decide what is best.
Jeremiah had questioned God a little based on what God had asked him to do. God told him to buy a field. Jeremiah saw what was happening in the region and was not certain why he should purchase anything…
God clearly answered him by saying, “Is there anything too hard for me?”
Sometimes in life we do not understand what God asks us to do. Sometimes He requires things that seem out of the ordinary.
We just need to TRUST that God is in control. We need to LISTEN and follow through the best we can with what HE asks of us.
As we do this, we remember that NOTHING is too hard for Him.
Love and blessings,
Rose
