God Cares
Matthew 15:29-39
29 Yeshua left there and went along the shore of Lake Kinneret (Sea of Galilee). He climbed a hill and sat down; 30 and large crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others. They laid them at his feet, and he healed them. 31 The people were amazed as they saw mute people speaking, crippled people cured, lame people walking and blind people seeing; and they said a b’rakhah (blessing) to the God of Isra’el.
32 Yeshua called his talmidim (disciples/students) to him and said, “I feel sorry for these people, because they have been with me three days, and now they have nothing to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, because they might collapse on the way home.” 33 The talmidim said to him, “Where will we find enough loaves of bread in this remote place to satisfy so big a crowd?” 34 Yeshua asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven, and a few fish.” 35 After telling the crowd to sit down on the ground, 36 he took the seven loaves and the fish, made a b’rakhah, broke the loaves and gave them to the talmidim, who gave them to the people. 37 Everyone ate his fill, and they took seven large baskets full of the leftover pieces. 38 Those eating numbered four thousand men, plus women and children. 39 After sending the crowd away, he got in the boat and went off to the region of Magadan.
Today we complete chapter 15. It ends with positive information and uplifting promises. The words that come to mind as I finish reading this are: "God cares."
Do you believe God truly cares for YOU? Do you believe that He could do the same healing in you that Jesus did for those who were brought to Him? Do you believe that God wants YOU to be healthy and whole?
I'm not saying we won't be without pain. I'm not saying that we won't have troublesome times. I'm not saying life will be filled with all things wonderful once we choose to follow Him. However, God does care for His people.
When we are patient and willing to be WITH Him, He will supply our needs. The people came wanting healing. The people came and stayed to listen to Him. Community was happening. Three days later Jesus realized they might be hungry.
When we are with Him time should stop. Time should be last on our mind, not first. Time with Him should mean we are focused on only Him.
In our world of instant, we forget most of these principles. It is so easy to just keep going and not truly stop. It is so easy to just keep the pace and not really focus on WHO He is.
Find a way to stop and just BE with Him. Find a way to LISTEN and HEAR Him. God does care for you. When we take that to heart and are STILL before Him, I believe we will begin to KNOW even deeper that GOD CARES.
Love and blessings,
Rose
