Bring Peace...
Matthew 10:11-15
11 “When you come to a town or village, look for someone trustworthy and stay with him until you leave. 12 When you enter someone’s household, say, ‘Shalom aleikhem!’ 13 If the home deserves it, let your shalom rest on it; if not, let your shalom return to you.14 But if the people of a house or town will not welcome you or listen to you, leave it and shake its dust from your feet! 15 Yes, I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the Day of Judgment for the people of S’dom and ‘Amora than for that town!
More instructions for the disciples... Go into a village... Look for a trustworthy person. Stay with that person.
Bring PEACE to the household. How many times do we walk into a house and say "Shalom?" That is how Israeli's greet one another. When they see each other they greet each other with peace. We just say, "hi."
I don't know that the Israeli's truly understand the depth that this greeting should have/could have/does. If we would greet each other with HIS peace every time we met, maybe our attitudes would be different.
Something to consider today... Yes, there is more in this passage, but focus on bringing peace today. Focus on bringing HIS plan and Good News to those around you.
Love and blessings,
Rose
