ALL...

Deuteronomy 6:1-9

“Now this is the mitzvah, the laws and rulings which Adonai your God ordered me to teach you for you to obey in the land you are crossing over to possess, so that you will fear Adonai your God and observe all his regulations and mitzvot that I am giving you — you, your child and your grandchild — as long as you live, and so that you will have long life. Therefore listen, Isra’el, and take care to obey, so that things will go well with you, and so that you will increase greatly, as Adonai, the God of your ancestors, promised you by giving you a land flowing with milk and honey.

“Sh’ma, Yisra’el! Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai echad [Hear, Isra’el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one]; and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources. These words, which I am ordering you today, are to be on your heart; and you are to teach them carefully to your children. You are to talk about them when you sit at home, when you are traveling on the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them on your hand as a sign, put them at the front of a headband around your forehead, and write them on the door-frames of your house and on your gates.

ALL... God wants it ALL...

Adonai wants HIS people to "love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources." Do you notice the word, "ALL" in this? He wants EVERYTHING!

God hates religion. The last blog I wrote I put in that there are 45,000 different denominations in Christianity alone. I believe that God hates that fact. God NEVER intended for this to happen. He simply wanted people to, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, being and resources..."

Friends, God NEVER gave His "laws and rulings" to put us into bondage. God NEVER wanted anyone to feel as if they could "not live up" to His standards. And yet... that is what happens today among the different denominations that have sprung up. One denomination asks its followers to act a certain way. Another one says that those rules are too strict (or not strict enough) so they say to it's okay to act another way. Each denomination "broke away" from a previous one in hopes of "making something better" and each one got further and further from the heart of God. All the "rules" have pushed people away from His desires.

Their definition of "laws" have actually hindered people of giving God their ALL.... Their "laws" place people in positions to not be honest. Their "laws" place people in bondage because they fear being judged and not loved because they aren't "good enough." They have pushed people out of an understanding of God's love instead of walking with them and drawing them into His love.

Matthew 22:36-40

“Rabbi, which of the mitzvot in the Torah is the most important?” He told him, “‘You are to love Adonai your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.’ This is the greatest and most important mitzvah. And a second is similar to it, ‘You are to love your neighbor as yourself.’ All of the Torah and the Prophets are dependent on these two mitzvot.”

My mind spins and overthinks with what I am trying to say at times. Bottom line, I simply want you to know that God LOVES YOU, so share that LOVE with those around you...
