Aggressive?
Proverbs 11:12-17
He who belittles another lacks good sense, whereas a person of discernment stays silent. 13 A gossip goes around revealing secrets, but a trustworthy person keeps a confidence.
14 Without clever tactics an army is defeated, and victory comes from much planning.
15 He who guarantees a loan for a stranger will suffer, but refusing to underwrite is safe.
16 A gracious woman obtains honor; aggressive men obtain wealth.
17 A man who is kind does himself good, but the cruel does harm to himself.
I could leave verses 12 and 13 just as they are... After discussing the mouth yesterday, and how it can be a blessing or curse, these Words solidify that being quiet is often a good thing.
In verse 16 I had to stop for a little bit because it says, "aggressive men obtain wealth." We often do not associate aggression with being quiet, kind and humble. I believe one can be both. There are ways to be aggressive, and yet not "walk all over people." Those with a good business sense can be humble too. Aggression can be tempered and still get the job done.
Kind... take verse 17 and run with it today.
A man who is kind does himself good, but the cruel does harm to himself.
There is a lot more packed in the verses above. I admit to waking up late today and not being able to get written what I wanted!!! If I add to this later I will let you know.
Love and blessings,
