A lesson from the book of Judges...
All throughout the book of Judges I read the words, “Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord...”
I will include a few of these verses here, not to depress us, but to help us understand that God desires us to WORSHIP Him and LISTEN to Him and OBEY Him. It breaks His heart when His children disobey.
Judges 4:1
But after Ehud had died, the people of Isra’el again did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective. (CJB)
Judges 6:1
But the people of Isra’el did what was evil from Adonai’s perspective, so Adonai handed them over to Midyan for seven years. (CJB)
Here is what should encourage us. When the children of Israel became discouraged and frustrated with their circumstances, they cried out to God. What did God do? He FORGAVE them! When His children turned back to Him and recognized Him, He HELPED them!
Judges 6:6
Isra’el became very discouraged because of Midyan, and the people of Isra’el cried out to Adonai. (CJB)
In this case He sent them a prophet to help them understand their ways, and then He went to Gideon. Gideon was the man who delivered them from the Mideonites.
Be encouraged today, that no matter what you have done, if you CRY out to God HE WILL hear you and answer you! He will bring you deliverance!
There really is a lesson to be heard and learned in every book of the Bible. Sometimes we have to take the time to read and ask Holy Spirit to help us understand what the lesson is. It might be as easy as understanding that HE cares for YOU every step of the way. HE is willing to DELIVER you and be your friend.
Today, claim the promise that GOD is with you and that GOD is watching over you and that GOD has your best interest in mind.
Love and blessings,
Rose

(I used the yellow roses because often roses are delivered as a surprise, and represent friendship. Both of these are what God is willing to do for you, if you just TRUST Him).
