Yesterday I spoke about doing good deeds and setting up things in your mind that you WANT to do for God. Today’s verse follows that up a little bit…
I John 3:18
Children, let us love not with words and talk, but with actions and in reality! (CJB)
So often it is easy to say, “I’m praying for you,” but we don’t stop and actually pray for the person. Sometimes we say, “I love you,” but we don’t stop to hug someone or do something for them.
IF we are children of God, than we should WANT to do actions and live in the reality of SHOWING others HIS Love.
Don’t just speak something. LIVE it.
I know I have to do better. Walking out HIS Love is not easy some days. Some days you just want to curl up and not face anything.
Stop today and think about your actions. Are they LOVING?
