Stand at the crossroads...
Today was a crazy busy day and I was gone from 10:45 until almost 5:30. Too much for me! But, I was blessed to get my hair taken care of and spend time with a friend who taught my children and I how to make soap! By the time we got back to the house I was thankful for a husband who had made dinner, baked the Challah bread, and then had to finish putting the washer back together. Needless to say, we were ready for SHABBAT!!! That means a verse about rest and I picked one of my favorites!
Jeremiah 6:16
Here is what Adonai says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask about the ancient paths,
‘Which one is the good way?’
Take it, and you will find rest for your souls.
But they said, ‘We will not take it.’ (CJB)
Stand at the crossroads….
LOOK
ASK
There is an ancient path…
WHICH one is the GOOD way?
TAKE IT!!! Friends… this clearly says there is a good way and it will bring rest!!
I have found that SHABBAT is an ancient path and it is a way to find REST for your soul.
My question is, WHY would someone NOT want to take a path that will bring them rest? I don’t understand that! I desire rest. I love my time of rest. I love my time with my Creator.
Friends, STOP and ASK! WHICH way is the way GOD wants? What does Adonai desire?
Don’t be like those who said, “We will not take it.” Find a way to bring REST to your soul. Find a way to spend time with HIM!
Shabbat Shalom,
Rose
