Above the furious flood...

There are days when I know exactly what verse I want to share. There are days I get up and have no idea and one will “pop up” on my phone or Facebook. Then there are days like today that when I sit down to do my FB live I have no idea what to talk about. Today was one of those days. Since I have not shared a Psalm in awhile, I thought I would go to chapter 29 and see if anything brought me LIFE.

Psalm 29:10-11

Above the furious flood, the Enthroned One reigns,

the King-God rules with eternity at his side.

This is the one who gives his strength and might to his people.

This is the Lord giving us his kiss of peace. (TPT)

It is safe to say that many of us have “furious floods” happening around us. Cold weather, health situations, relationships that are a struggle… we are all (probably) facing something that we would consider a FLOOD!

The PROMISE in these verses is that the Enthroned One REIGNS. He sits with the King-God and RULES with eternity (whom we can claim as Jesus) at HIS side.

Knowing that HE is on the THRONE brings STRENGTH and MIGHT to us - His people.

This is the Lord giving us His kiss of peace.

What a comfort to know that in the middle of the furious flood the Lord gives PEACE.

May Adonai give strength to his people!

May Adonai bless his people with shalom!

Our God is truly a God of STRENGTH and PEACE. He clearly sits on the THRONE as KING.
