YOU are LIGHT for the world...
Hello dear friends,
When I did my FB Live blog it was Night 6 of Chanukah! We celebrated FAITHFULNESS!!!
As I am typing this we are celebrating Night 7 which is HUMILITY.
There is much we can learn about both of these attributes. And we should stop and think about what we need to understand personally about them.
The verse I used in my live chat was Matthew 5:14
“You are light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” (CJB)
This is one of my favorite verses about light.
In Israel we teach about this verse as we are around the Sea of Galilee. As we look across from one side to another, especially at night, it is obvious that lights shine bright! Even back in the time of the Bible when lamps and fires were used, those lights shown brightly across the water!
Many villages/towns in Israel are built on a hill. It is a beautiful site to see. Seeing it brings a new meaning to this verse.
BELIEVE this year that YOU are a LIGHT for the world. YOU bring light to the places and people around you.
DO NOT doubt where HE has planted you. DO NOT doubt YOUR potential.
GOD has believed in YOU enough to call YOU a LIGHT.
Claim it today. Walk it out today. Do it all in humility. Humility does NOT mean you think less than yourself. It simply means to not think you are better than others. You CAN walk in HIS Authority.
