With the Mouth...

Today my verse is from the Bible App again. I really enjoy having these pop up on my screen each morning. They usually make me stop and think, or remind me to be THANKFUL!

The verse today was from Romans 10:10. It is not about being thankful, but it could be…

For with the heart one goes on trusting and thus continues toward righteousness, while with the mouth one keeps on making public acknowledgement and thus continues toward deliverance. (CJB)

My focus is on the last line:

“With the mouth one keeps on making public acknowledgement and thus continues toward deliverance.”

What we speak out of our mouth can bring life or death. When we speak we are making a PUBLIC STATEMENT! Whether or not we say something in private or not, God hears it so it is still public!

And, what we speak out of our mouth continues toward DELIVERANCE!

If we are speaking positive words, we will find deliverance.

If we speak negative words, those around us will respond differently and usually not with deliverance. Usually negativity breeds negativity.

James tells us to be careful how we use our tongue.

What words are you using? Are you encouraging those around you? Or tearing them down…

Yes, we can trust with our heart and move toward righteousness, but DELIVERANCE is through what we SPEAK.

This is a heart check for me. What am I speaking? Am I asking the Holy Spirit what to say? Or am I following my flesh.

I pray it is a heart check for you as well. It is the WORD. Ask HIM what He wants you to learn from it. He might have something else to show you!

Love and blessings,

Rose
